Q what is health ?
The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines health as a state of complete physical, mental , social and spiritual well being and not merely the absence of disease.
we should take some steps to maintain good health these are as follows :-
- eat a proper and balanced diet
- eat at regular intervals of time
- exercise regularly
- rest properly
- keep ourselves mentally alert but stress free
food is one of the basic necessities of our life .
Q FUNCTIONS OF FOOD .
there are the main or basic four functions of food:
- It provides energy needed for various activities to be performed by us .
- It is needed to grow and repair the worn out cells.
- It controls various body functions .
- It is required to protecting the body from various diseases and for keeping it fit and healthy.
SEEDS wheat and rice are nothing but seeds which we use as our main food oil is obtained from seeds of mustard peanuts, Neem, coconut, sunflower etc which are the most essential ingredient or source of our meal.
ANIMALS PRODUCT AS FOOD
animal has been classified into the basic of the product the healed as food for human being milk cows and buffaloes come at the top of the list of milk yielding animals goat camel etc are also domesticated for the same purpose buffaloes milk is generally used for producing various Milk products like cheese curd etc meet meat of animals such as got chicken and fish is eaten by human being eggs the polluted rebirth provided both meat as well as eggs and duck Turkey etc. some political words which producers eggs Marine food a large number of people especially living in coastal region fully dependent on face as their main food source from strength and craft also added to Marine food sources apart from the large number of fishes found in the Seas and the rivers.

Rearing and management of fish on large scale is called pisciculture.

It is a process of rearing of honey bees at large scale .
USES OF HONEY
- Honey is used as food
- Honey is used as medicine
- Honey is used for nourishment
- Honey is also used as antiseptic
FOOD HABITS OF ANIMALS
Plants and animals have different ways of getting food animals cannot produce their own food that directly or indirectly dependent on plants for their food .
Q WHAT IS PRODUCER ?
Green plants prepare their own food with the help of air water chlorophyll and sunlight they are also known as producers
Q WHAT IS CONSUMER ?
Animals dependent on plants for their food therefore they are called consumers.
BASED ON THEIR FEEDING HABITS, ANIMALS ARE DIVIDED INTO THREE GROUPS:
GROUP A) -: HERBIVORES
GROUP B) -: CARNIVORES
GROUP C) -: OMNIVORES
HERBIVORES
HERBI means PLANT
VORE means EATER
Plants eating animals are called Herbivores. Buffalo, cow, goat, deer are some examples of Herbivores animals.
The world's largest Herbivore is the African elephant.
CARNIVORES
CARNI means MEAT
VORE means EATER
The animals who eat flesh of other animals are called carnivorous lion tiger wolf snake vulture etc are some examples of carnivore.
OMNIVORES
OMNI means ALL.
VORE means EATER.
The animals which eat both plants and animals are called omnivorous animals cockroach ,human being, crow, dog etc are omnivorous animals.
Some carnivores and omnivores known as scavengers because they mainly consume decaying bodies of animals and help to keep the environment clean example Jackal vulture crow etc these animals are also known as Natural sweepers of environment.
